The Jade Golem in the Gadgetzan expansion of Hearthstone quickly becomes the overpowering monster. Each summoning makes him even stronger.
With the latest expansion “The Streets of Gadgetzan,” Blizzard aims to shake up the existing meta of Hearthstone. In the latest card reveal, the characters around the Jade Lotus were presented. These cards are only available to Rogues, Druids, and Shamans – of course, only after acquiring them from card packs.
Many cards of the Jade Lotus have a very similar effect, namely the summoning of a Jade Golem. Those who roll their eyes and wonder what to do with a 1/1 minion will quickly be enlightened.
For every time a Jade Golem is summoned, it is +1/+1 stronger than its predecessor. The Jade Golem scales with the number of its summons. What starts as a nice “side effect” that calls a small minion gradually turns into a truly powerful behemoth that – with the right deck – can even rise to 30/30, putting the opposing hero within one-hit range.
Some cards that can summon the Jade Golem have also already been introduced.
- Shamans get the Jade Lightning, which deals 4 damage for 4 mana and additionally creates a Jade Golem.
- Druids stay true to their “Mana Jump” mechanic and gain the Jade Blossom, which provides a free mana crystal for 3 mana and also creates a Golem.
- As a legendary minion, there is Aya Blackpaw, the leader of the Jade Lotus. With mana costs of 6 and stats of 5/3, she seems weak; however, she has the summoning of a Jade Golem as both a Battlecry and a Deathrattle.
