A fancy, new mount is waiting for players of World of Warcraft. What do you need to do for that? Log in to Hearthstone at the right moment.
As World of Warcraft approaches its 20th birthday, another Blizzard title is also celebrating an anniversary: Hearthstone. The digital card game has now been around for 10 years, and that is an occasion to promote the game a bit more – even in other Blizzard titles.
Players of World of Warcraft should be particularly happy, as they not only get a fancy mount but also the chance for many other rewards.
When does the event take place? The crossover event between Hearthstone and World of Warcraft starts on March 11, 2024. When you log in to WoW and Hearthstone at that time, you can earn your first rewards.
You have a week to claim most of the rewards, until March 18, 2024.
What rewards are there? The most impressive reward is a new mount, the “Fiery Pegasus”. You will receive this new flying mount when you log in to Hearthstone at least once starting March 11. You don’t need to complete matches – just starting the game is enough. After that, you can start WoW and should find the new mount in your collection.
You can claim the “Fiery Pegasus” by May 14, 2024 – after that, this promotion will end.
From March 11 to March 18, there will be other rewards that you can earn directly in WoW. Visit the major capitals and watch “Hearthstone matches” – if you stay there for a while, battles will break out where you will have to fight particularly famous minions. Then more rewards await.
The colleagues from wowhead have already mined these rewards through data mining. There is a stylish tabard and belt in Hearthstone style, as well as new toys and a cool adventure hat like the one Reno Jackson wears. The mouse “Sarge” as a pet and another mount – a flying Hearthstone disc – will round off the event.
What’s happening in Hearthstone? Of course, there are also some rewards to earn in Hearthstone. There is a series of special “birthday cards” that can be unlocked during the event – some of these cards will be revealed later.
Additionally, Hearthstone is reliving its entire past in fast forward. During the month of March, all expansions will be “re-released” in the Standard mode. That means that on March 1, only cards from the “Legacy pool” can be used. Starting March 2, the cards from the expansion “Curse of Naxxramas” will be added, and on March 3, “Goblins & Gnomes” – until all cards have been unlocked.
This will lead to a few exciting and simultaneously chaotic days, where there will be a new meta with creative (and overpowered) decks almost every day.
