In Hearthstone , the 1-mana card “Hungry Crab” has become the current favorite of Hearthstone head Ben Brode. This month really belongs to her.

Hungry Crab can finally shine in Hearthstone
Actually, the crab with stats of 1/2 for 1 mana is nothing special. However, as a Battlecry, it devours any Murloc, becoming a 3/4 crab monster for 1 mana.
The card has been around forever, but was hardly seen for years because Murlocs were rarely encountered on the Hearthstone boards. One could mostly only play a Murloc deck themselves and let the crab eat one of their own minions to at least provide some value. Not a huge advantage.
However, the latest expansion “Journey to Un’Goro” has introduced some powerful Murlocs into the game. Shaman and Paladin now have “playable Murloc” decks that can also be seen in tournaments.
This greatly diversifies the crab’s menu, and the minion gains significance. Now it is even used by professionals in official tournaments to specially equip their decks against Murlocs.
Crab feasts through the Global Games
The crab recently had a highlight at the Global Games, where the best Hearthstone players in the world compete against each other. They play there for their nation.

Both players start with perfect plays in Round 1. The Romanian plays a nasty buff Murloc, the “Murloc Tidecaller”, which becomes stronger the more Murloc allies follow him. But that does not happen, as the Murloc becomes crab food. This already brings amusement on both sides in the first turn.
The crab has something good with Ben Brode
