The latest expansion of Hearthstone is now live. We’ll share all important information about the Blizzard card game add-on.
The last few weeks have been a big “reveal season” for Blizzard, during which the new cards of the “Witchwood” expansion were presented by streamers, community sites, and the developers. Now it’s finally here, and “The Witchwood” (Witchwood) was released today, on April 12, 2018, for PC and mobile!
The new features include, of course, the 135 new cards, all of which we have listed here.
But there are even more new features, such as two new keywords that you will find on many cards.
- Rush: Minions with Rush can attack on the same turn they are played. However, they can only attack other minions and not the opposing hero.
- Echo: All cards with Echo can be played multiple times in the same turn as long as you can pay the mana costs. A minion for 2 mana could be played 5 times if the player has over 10 mana.
There is also a PvE mode again. Similar to Kobolds and Catacombs, you can complete four small “stories” and take on the roles of different heroes from the Witchwood.
Are you only interested in the most exciting cards from the Witchwood? No problem, we have prepared several articles for you on that:
- The Shriekwood is the craziest card from the Witchwood
- We are particularly looking forward to these 5 Witchwood cards.
From now on, players can also borrow cards and decks from their friends – at least when they are battling. Do you have a cool deck idea and want to test it with a friend, but they don’t have the cards for it? No problem! In friendly duels, you can lend other players the cards and then compete against them. The cards do not actually change ownership. Your friend can only use them temporarily.
Free Cards for All Players
If you are still hesitating whether to check out Hearthstone again, you shouldn’t wait long. Because for a “short time” after the release, all players will receive 3 free Witchwood card packs upon logging in. Additionally, there is a random legendary class card, so you can start planning your deck right away.
Please note that there may be connection issues in the next few hours. The influx of players immediately after a new release is always large and often leads to login problems.
Are you playing Hearthstone again diligently? How do you like the Witchwood?
