In Hearthstone there’s a lot of gurgling going on again. The Murlocs are currently overwhelming the game and causing frustration – unless you play them yourself.
If you have played against other players since the launch of the new Hearthstone expansion Rise of Shadows, you surely noticed some cheerful gurgling. The “Murloc Shaman” is the new annoying deck of Hearthstone that drives players crazy.
Why is this deck so popular? The Murloc Shaman is not only a relatively easy deck to play, but it can also decide the match in just a few turns. Matches against a Murloc Shaman rarely last long enough to reach the “late game”.
If you don’t want to waste much time with individual games, but want to check off match after match, the fast Murloc deck is perfect for you.

What makes the deck so strong? Many Murlocs have synergy effects that combine the casting of multiple Murlocs into a strong combo.
- There is a Murloc that gains more attack power for every Murloc played.
- Another Murloc ensures that you get a new Murloc into your hand every time a Murloc is played.
And then there’s of course the new Shaman Legendary Scargill. It ensures that all Murlocs of the Shaman only cost 1 mana.
Only decks that have a lot of area spells or strong taunt minions can stand against this flood of gurgling minions. All others will be overwhelmed in no time.
Why is this deck so annoying? Since the “Classic” version of Hearthstone, Murloc decks have been effective from time to time. This can quickly lead to frustration for the opponent. Just like the well-known “Zoo” decks, Murloc decks can quickly recover from a setback and flood the board with creatures again. Opponents can hardly keep up and must keep “cleaning the board” without being able to establish a solid board themselves.
How can I play it myself? If you are not averse to it or actually enjoy Murlocs, you can definitely play the deck yourself.
In that case, we’ll just quietly leave the deck code here, which you can simply take into your clipboard and then paste into Hearthstone. You will then get the Murloc deck in its usual form.
