Hearthstone is trying something new by bringing back old cards. We now have the complete list of cards that will be returning.
The meta is currently a bit stagnant in Hearthstone and most players have now completed the “Graveyard of Horrors” adventure. To bring some fresh air between the expansions, Hearthstone will soon celebrate the return of 23 cards. All players will receive them and can experiment with them freely.
Which cards are coming back? In total, 18 class cards and 5 neutral cards will make a return to Hearthstone. This means that each class will get back 2 old favorites. These cards are:
- Druid
- Astral Communion
- King Krush
- Mage
- Babbling Book
- Flamecaller
- Paladin
- Mysterious Knight
- Avenger
- Hunter
- Loaded and Unsecured
- Call of the Wild
- Shaman
- Evolution
- Thing from Below
- Rogue
- Shaku the Collector
- Pirati
- Warlock
- Boss of the Imp Gang
- Turn Away from Darkness
- Warrior
- Varian Wrynn
- Bloodhoof Warrior
In addition, there are the 5 neutral minions, all legendary. These are:
- N’Zoth, the Corruptor
- Sylvanas Windrunner
- Ragnaros the Firelord
- The Curator
- Emperor Thaurissan
All returning cards at a glance are shown in this graphic from Hearthstone-Decks.net:

How do you get the cards? The 23 cards will be automatically unlocked for all accounts and each player will receive them for free. However, the cards cannot be disenchanted and will disappear again after the end of the “event”. So they are a temporary, free bonus to bring a bit more variety into Hearthstone decks.
How long are the cards available? The cards are part of the Halloween event in Hearthstone. This begins on October 8 and lasts until October 30. You can experiment with the cards for a full 3 weeks.
Are you excited about the return of the cards? Do you have a favorite that you will definitely include in your decks?
