The new Hearthstone cards are full of interesting and sometimes questionable anecdotes. We have compiled our top 13.
With the release of the new expansion “The Streets of Gadgetzan”, there are not only plenty of new cards, but also a whole range of “hidden” things in the game. Few players are aware of the anecdotal texts, often referred to as “flavor text”, that each card has when viewed in the collection.
We have created a list of the most entertaining quotes found in the new expansion.
Lunar Visions – “What did you see? A second moon of Azeroth? Very funny, how could a whole moon disappear…” A clear reference to World of Warcraft, where a patch long ago removed the “2nd moon”. It has since been restored to the game.
Shrink Potion – “Whoever dispels Shadow Word: Pain will be regretting it now.”
Jade Wasp – “He calls himself the King of Blades.”
Jade Shuriken – “The practical thing about it: After you’ve taken it out of the wound, you can use it to pay the bill for the treatment.”
Shadow Fury – “Oh yes. No joke.”
Shaku the Collector – “Interventions are in vain. Shaku doesn’t see that he is a hoarder. Will he get his problem under control? And will Aya forgive him for stealing the cards of her best friend? We will probably never know, as this is a game and not a telenovela.”
Jinyu Waterspeaker – “Waterspeakers possess the mystical and precious gift of foresight. That’s why the Jade Lotus often employs them as speculators in the auction house.”
Lotus Illusionist – “If you thought their Illidan and Sylvanas cosplays were good, just wait until you see them as Reno Jackson!”
Cabalist’s Pusher – “I have everything, I can procure anything. I have the craziest stuff out there. Mana crystals, potions of strength, transformation elixirs, gummy bears…”
Inspector Sally – “Who is she? Where did she come from? We don’t have any police in Gadgetzan – Mayor Noggenfogger”
Raging Reporter – “In her last column, she exposed Karla Bloom and her shady black market dealing in rare tusks in Old Town.”
Knatz-Fu Master – “Knatz-Fu is the ancient Hozen art of self-defense, in which students learn to harmonize body and mind to finally… smash opponents fair and square!!!”
Furorion – “Furorion is a dragon, like his father, Deathwing. Why is he not marked as a dragon? DO YOU WANT TO BLOW HIS COVER??”
