A long-standing wish of the Hearthstone players seems to be coming true. There are concrete hints of a co-op mode.
Card Chaos as Teaser?
Since the release of Hearthstone, the calls for a co-op mode have become increasingly loud. No wonder, the raid encounters for multiple players already radiated a special power in the physical Warcraft TCG and provided entertaining evenings. After many rumors, half-truths, and assumptions, the data miners from HearthPwn have now succeeded in extracting the first concrete evidence and clues from the game data. The message conveyed by these images is clear: A co-op mode will come at least in the form of a card chaos.
In addition to the typical title image of a card chaos, where two players face a boss, the card of the boss and its abilities have also been extracted. Gearmaster Mechazod has the card text “Mechazod wins if he defeats one of you”. While this alone isn’t proof, one of his abilities makes it clearer. Double Zap reads as follows: “Deals your attack damage to both players.”
It is to be expected that more about the concept of co-op variations will be discussed at this year’s BlizzCon, perhaps even entire adventures will be created around the principle of a group. We will know more about it in about two weeks.
