The latest patch of Hearthstone brought many changes, including for the Arena. New cards have now been added, and others have been banned.
The Arena in Hearthstone is a bit wilder compared to the “Constructed” game mode. With luck, players can achieve very strong combinations and some cards can even be held three, four, or five times in the same deck.
To keep the Arena continuously exciting, the rules of card drawing are slightly altered from time to time. Overpowered cards occasionally get removed, or old ones are reintroduced.
This was also the case with the patch from December 19, 2018. In addition to the nerfs of some cards, there were changes to the Arena.
Farewell, Mind Control: A single card is newly banned from the Arena, the Mind Control. This neutral minion for 3 mana with the stats 3/3 could take over a random enemy minion permanently through Battlecry if the opponent had at least four minions. This is no longer possible, as the card will no longer appear.
Many cards return: At the same time, many cards are also reintroduced to the Arena pool that were previously removed because they were considered too powerful. The following cards are now back in the Arena:
Druid
- Unleash
- Spirit of the Forest
- Mark of Nature
Hunter
- Starving Buzzard
- Forest Wolf
- Snipe
Priest
- Mind Strike
- Inner Fire
- Lightwell
Warlock
- Sacrifice Pact
- Summon Demons
- Succubus
Shaman
- Dust Devil
- Power of Totems
- Healing of the Ancestors
- Wind Speaker
Warrior
- Warlord’s Howl
- Charged Attack
- Rage
More cards from the latest expansion: In addition to the introduction of the old cards, the rate at which players can draw cards from the latest expansion “Rastakhan’s Rumble” has also been increased. The rate has been increased by 50%, allowing more players to experiment with the 135 new cards.
The changes are already active, so you can experience them while crafting your Arena decks.
