Rogues and Priests must say goodbye to 2 cards in Hearthstone . But don’t worry – there are plenty of replacements!
In recent months, Blizzard has been more open regarding class balancing and small changes within an expansion cycle of Hearthstone. These changes will also be maintained. Blizzard has now revealed that Hearthstone will ban two more cards from the “Classic” set. But don’t worry – a total of 10 cards will find their way into the game.
These two cards will be removed: Two cards are moving to the “Hall of Fame” and will not be playable in the ranked mode anymore. This includes the spell “Vanish” from the rogue as well as the Mind Spike from the priest.
The reasoning is that both spells do not truly fit the class identity of their respective class and would restrict the design of new cards. To prevent this, the cards will be moved to the Hall of Fame.
These two cards have replacements: To ensure that the number of available cards for priests and rogues does not decrease, there are two cards as compensation.
Priests receive the spell Radiance, which restores a total of 5 health points to their hero for 1 mana.
Rogues on the other hand receive the minion Plaguebringer. For 4 mana, it has the stats 3/3 and also makes a friendly minion poisonous.
Eight new cards in Classic packs: But there are even more innovations. A total of 8 new cards will be added to the Classic set. They can then be drawn from classic packs with the next patch or crafted with Arcane Dust.
Warlocks receive the Siegebreaker. A 5/8 demon for 7 mana with Taunt, which grants all other demons of the player +1 attack.
Druids receive the spell Gift of the Wild. For 8 mana, the spell grants all allied minions +2/+2 and Taunt. Perfect for strengthening an army of Treants.
Paladins receive Righteousness. For 5 mana, the spell grants all of the Paladin’s minions Divine Shield.
A neutral, legendary minion is Brightwing. This dragon costs 3 mana and has only the stats of 3/2. However, it has an interesting Battlecry, which ensures that you get a random legendary minion into your hand.
Also neutral and legendary is High Inquisitor Whitemane. She is a 6/8 minion for 7 mana with a powerful Battlecry: She squo;s resurrects all friendly allies that died this turn.
For 7 mana, the new Barrens Stablehand awaits. It is a 4/4 minion that summons a random beast with its Battlecry.
The SI:7 Infiltrator is a 5/4 minion for only 4 mana that destroys a random enemy secret with its Battlecry.
Lastly, the Arcane Devourer. An elemental for 8 mana with base stats of 5/5. However, it receives +2/+2 each time the player casts a spell.
When is the patch coming? There is still no exact date for the update. The changes are set to go live “with the next major patch”. However, when that will be has not yet been announced.
What do you think about the removal of the two cards? How do you like the new cards?
