The Android version for tablets of the online card game Hearthstone is almost finished and is expected to be released later this year. Additionally, players in Europe now receive the new “Goblins vs Gnomes” packs in the Arena. For the “Classic” packs mistakenly received in the first days, they will be compensated with new “Goblins vs Gnomes” packs.
The developers of Hearthstone, Ben Brode and Jayson Chase, have commented on recent events in an interview. The Hearthstone version for Android tablets is progressing well; it is nearly finished. Now they are only looking for a suitable release date. They definitely want to make this happen in 2014.
The devs also address balance issues. Instead of the developers tinkering with cards, as they did recently, they would rather ensure balance by introducing new cards.
There was some frustration regarding the first Arena rounds that players in Europe played. Hearthstone mistakenly awarded them the wrong packs, which contained the old “Classic” cards. Blizzard has since resolved this issue, and the new packs are available.
Players who mistakenly received old packs are to receive one “fresh, new” card pack for each of these packs.
All those who were awarded Classic Hearthstone packs as a reward from Arena after the Goblins vs Gnomes launch should now have one Goblins vs Gnomes pack for each Classic pack they received in error.
Update 15.12.: In an interview, the developers of Hearthstone have once again addressed the tablet version for Android: Here is our article about it.
