35 new cards expand the “United in Stormwind” expansion for Hearthstone – as it goes into the Deadmines with many new features.
The current meta of Hearthstone is not particularly popular among the community. A new mini-set comes just in time to blow some fresh wind into the game.
The mini-set “The Deadmines” expands the current “United in Stormwind” expansion from 135 to 170 cards. This includes 3 cards exclusive to each class and then a handful of fresh neutral cards that can generally be played in any deck.
The new cards for the Demon Hunter: The Demon Hunter gets strong card draw and solid new removal abilities as well as a “gimmick” card to trigger death rattles quickly.
The new cards for the Druid: Druids get more cards with “Choose One” that can be split into different spells.
The new cards for the Hunter: As is usual for Hunters, there are more direct damage and the ability to re-trigger death rattle effects.
The new cards for the Mage: Mages can repeat their “big” spells with a new parrot and summon new, large minions when they deal a lot of excess damage.
The new cards for the Paladin: Paladins become thieves as they can steal attack and health points from enemies.
The new cards for the Priest: Priests get the “Resurrect” mechanic back and can copy the opponent’s next card.
The new cards for the Rogue: Rogues get Edwin Van Cleef back, but with a cooler effect – plus they can steal a card from the opponent’s deck.
The new cards for the Shaman: Shamans can pump up their weapons and repeat Battlecries.
The new cards for the Warlock: Warlocks will become even better at dealing damage to themselves to complete their quests quickly.
The new cards for the Warrior: Warriors can significantly enhance a weapon and get even more cannon shots to quickly defeat opponents.
The new neutral cards: Among the neutral cards, there are some highlights. The “Craziest Bomber” creates pure chaos with the distributed damage, while Henchman Pain gives Pirates Charge and can lead to extreme one-hit kills. But the Multi-Worker should particularly provide card draw for Mages, while the Golakkavilestriker quickly takes out wildlife (especially from Hunters and Druids).
When will the mini-set be released? Already today, on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. As usual with Hearthstone, this is likely to happen in the evening hours, typically between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM. You will then be prompted in the game to restart the Hearthstone client. After that, the mini-set will be available.
What does the mini-set cost? Anyone who wants to own all 35 new cards (66 cards total with duplicates) has two options. The entire mini-set costs either 14.99 € or 2,000 gold coins. The cards are therefore all obtainable through gameplay, and anyone who still has some gold saved up can receive them immediately.
What do you think of the new cards? Is there anything that appeals to you? Or are the cards too boring and not worth the money or gold?
