On April 7, the new expansion “The Ruins of the Shattered World” launched in Hearthstone. It introduced the new class Demon Hunter, and we present you with 3 strong decks at the start.
What does the new expansion offer? The Ruins of the Shattered World comes with 135 new cards. Many of these are designed specifically for the new class Demon Hunter. This is the first new class since the release of the card game.
It is striking that the “Demon Hunter” already makes a very strong impression. This is also demonstrated by the following 3 decks that we can recommend you at the start. The first deck is mainly aimed at beginners; the other two are intended for more advanced players.

1. Aggro Demon Hunter – For Beginners

How is the deck played? An aggro deck generally aims to get cards on the board quickly and deal damage to the opponent. The Demon Hunter is perfect for this, mainly because its class ability costs only 1 mana and deals 1 damage.
Particularly strong are the 1-mana cards like “Infernal Cleaver” and “Battle Beast.” A possible addition would be “Ur’zul Horror,” which the experienced player Fury-Hunter, currently ranked #1 Legend, does not include. In this case, the deck code comes from him.
Also included are “Double Cut” for 0 mana and “Eye Beam,” a spell that, as an outside card, also costs only 0 mana.
Although the “Skull of Gul’dan” is not as effective in this deck as in other “Demon Hunter” variations, the card is still included. At the end, there is also a “Priestess of Wrath” who can deal the final blow to the opponents.
2. Highlander Demon Hunter – For Advanced Players

How is the deck played? Highlander decks are currently very popular. In this type, only one version of each card is used to enable the special cards “Zephrys the Great” and “Dragon Queen Alexstrasza” to be utilized.
The Demon Hunter also has such a deck and does not need to include many neutral cards. Besides the two mentioned above, “Maiev Shadowsong,” deemed the strongest card of the set by YouTuber Trump, and “Overzealous Orc” are included.
For the early game, you have cheap minions and strong cards like “Eye Beam” and “Soul Splitter” to prevent being pushed off the board. Keep an eye on your health points, as they are an important resource for the Demon Hunter.
In the late game, “Zephrys” and “Alexstrasza” come into play, as well as the expensive “Lord of the Lizard’s Cauldron,” who can first take out an opponent with Rush and then taunt to protect your health points.

The core cards:
How is the deck played? The deck focuses on quickly drawing your deck and then eliminating the opponent with a combo. It first relies on cards that draw additional cards, like “Engineer Apprentice” or “Thalnos.” Some even include “Loot Hamster” on top.
The big combo revolves around “Kael’thas Sunstrider,” which ensures that every third spell costs 0 mana. By using cheap spells like “Double Cut” (0 mana), “Eye Beam” (0 mana as well), or “Consume Magic” (1 mana), you can utilize expensive spells without any cost.
The focus here is on “Inner Demon.” This card grants you +8 attack this turn. Together with “Chaos Strike” (+2 attack this turn), a weapon, and potentially even “Metamorphosis” (which changes your hero ability), you can deal a lot of damage in one turn.
You also have “Zephrys” with you. However, since you are using duplicate cards, you must wait to use it until the end of your deck. However, this can allow you to win “Doomhammer” from the shaman. With it, your hero gains Windfury and can attack twice in a row.
