We present to you 3 strong decks that will make a good impression at the start of the latest Hearthstone expansion “Saviors of Uldum”. We show you decks for Mage, Paladin, and Warlock.
The latest Hearthstone expansion has been live for almost a day, and many players are still experimenting with the new cards. If you can’t come up with a solid idea and are struggling to create a deck with cards from Saviors of Uldum, we have some decks that should make it easier for you to start the new expansion.
Simply copy the “code” from the deck into Hearthstone, and the game will automatically attempt to assemble the respective deck and will also tell you which cards you might still be missing in your collection. The dust costs show what the deck would cost if you do not own any of the cards.
1. Mage Deck: Big Spell Mage
Code for the deck list: AAECAf0EBu72Asb4ApaaA4qeA9igA9alAwyKAZwCqwTLBJYF4Qf7DIOWA5+bA6CbA8KhA4ukAwA=
Dust cost: 12460
As the name suggests, the “Big Spell Mage” deck by Dog relies on large, devastating spells and minions. There is a bit of chaos programmed in, as the deck makes use of the card Puzzlebox of Yogg-Saron, which can sometimes backfire. In any case, the deck provides plenty of fun and some chaotic outcomes.
How to play the deck: The deck relies on many tested and popular combinations, such as the Call of the Summoner or Khadgar. However, a few new cards have also been incorporated into the deck:
- You can use King Phaoris to utilize the spells in hand to bring out really large minions onto the battlefield.
- Luna’s Pocket Galaxy ensures that these minions only cost 1 mana, making life difficult for the opponent.
- Coupled with the Sand Witch of the Naga, you can artificially increase the costs of your spells so that King Phaoris summons stronger minions.
2. Paladin Deck: Quest Paladin
Code for the deck list: AAECAZ8FBPH+AqCAA5OlA4SnAw209gLW/gLZ/gLh/gKRgAPMgQOaoQOgoQPFoQPypQP0pwPKqwOWrAMA
Dust cost: 8520
The Quest Paladin is an idea from professional player Trump and uses quite a few new cards. Nevertheless, the costs for the deck are manageable and should be affordable for most players. In case of doubt, you may have to sacrifice a few old legendaries…
How to play the deck: The new Paladin deck in Hearthstone relies on completing the Mummification quest as early as possible. This allows the Paladin to create copies of existing minions with their new hero power. If you use this effect on cards with the addition “Resurrect”, you will soon have a battlefield filled with numerous minions that keep returning. This is further enhanced with some mechanical minions. These can be summoned again through Kangor’s Endless Army, keeping their magnetic upgrades.
Most opponents will likely not be able to withstand this overwhelming army of returning minions for long.
3. Warlock Deck: Zoo Warlock
Code for the deck list: AAECAf0GAtkHgqUDDjDCCPH3Aqr5Avb9Avr+ArSRA4idA7WfA/qkA/ukA/ykA4GlA/2nAwA=
Dust cost: 4960
Also from Trump is the Zoo Warlock, which relies on the good old strategy of simply overrunning the opponent. This is achieved through minions that strengthen each other and usually have an immediate impact on the game. With its relatively low dust costs, this deck is also a good option for those on a budget.
How to play the deck: Like all good Zoo decks, this mix relies on quickly overwhelming the opponent. This is achieved through numerous effects that allow the Warlock to generate minions. The deck also uses hardly any spells, as most problems are dealt with by minions that are “buffed” beforehand.
It is also helpful to play Dark Pharaoh Tekahn as early as possible. Because then the minions have strong stats of 4/4 (instead of 1/1) for the rest of the game and become real threats.
Have you experimented with the cards from Saviors of Uldum yet? Which deck are you currently having success with?
