Dr. Boom’s Lab in Hearthstone is live. We have three cool, new decks for the new expansion that can help you achieve success quickly! We have the “Magnetic Bomber” Hunter, the new Token Druid, and a deck featuring the legendary Mecha’Thun for Warlock.
The latest expansion for Hearthstone is live. However, if you are totally overwhelmed by the 135 new cards and are being rolled over by other players, we have a solution.
We present to you three great decks that can give you tons of fun. If you want to try out the decks, all you need to do is copy the “deck list” and paste it into Hearthstone. The game will then ask you if you want to import the deck.
The “Magnetic Bomber” Hunter
Hunters are known for their love of “Face Damage” and this hasn’t changed with Dr. Boom’s Lab. The “Magnetic Bomber” deck by WillPwn makes perfect use of the new bombs from the expansion.
Deck list:
AAECAR8IlwjJwgLTzQKG0wL96gLh9QLw9QKggAML+wHZB5/1AqX1AuD1AuL1Au/1Arn4Arz8Avb9AomAAwA=
Pure Dust Cost: 8360
The deck consists of many cards that can summon Goblin Bombs. These bombs are fundamentally weak 0/2 minions whose death rattles deal 2 damage to the opposing hero. However, through numerous synergies with other cards and the keyword “Magnetic,” the bombs can be massively upgraded.
If a player still manages to destroy the bombs, they have to take a lot of damage to their hero.
These effects are combined with cards like Mistress of Mixtures, where death rattle effects are triggered twice.
The Special Thing about the Deck: Essentially, this deck tries to establish a strong army of minions that enhance each other. The pure death rattle of the bombs is just an additional effect intended to punish the opponent.
The “Even Mecha’Thun Can Win” Warlock
If you’ve seen the card “Mecha’thun”, you’ve probably wondered if a sensible deck can be built around it. After all, to activate the card, it’s necessary to destroy all the cards in your own deck, have an empty hand, and not have any other minions on the battlefield.
Fortunately, there is exactly one class that can bring this about relatively easily: the Warlock.
Deck list:
AAECAf0GCNsG+wfMCJDHApfTAs7pAs30AvH7Agv7BrYH4QeNCOfLAvHQAv3QAojSAtjlAurmAtf+AgA=
Pure Dust Cost: 8340
The deck by Schnez01 is based on Genn Greymane – meaning only cards with even costs are allowed, and the hero power only costs 1 mana. This allows you to draw an extra card every turn and the deck quickly becomes “empty”.
With the double Mechachron, the cost of Mecha’thun can be reduced to 8. Now, an important combo is needed to bring about an instant victory:
Mecha’thun + Bloodbloom + Cataclysm
Thanks to this combination, you can play Mecha’thun, for the remaining 2 mana cast Bloodbloom. Your next spell will then cost health points. Cataclysm subsequently destroys all minions on the battlefield for 4 health points and discards your remaining hand. This fulfills the conditions, and Mecha’thun destroys the enemy hero!
The new “Token” Druid
Currently, particularly successful with a win rate of 62% is the “Boomsday Day 1 Token Druid” by Fluxflashor. It uses only a few cards from the new expansion.
Deck list:
AAECAZICApnTAsX9Ag5AX/0C5gWFCOQIoM0Ch84CmNICntIC29MChOYC1+8C4vgCAA==
Pure Dust Cost: 7560
The deck primarily focuses on one of the Druid’s oldest strategies. The goal is to bring as many “tokens”, such as treants or other “summoned” creatures, onto the battlefield as possible. Then, the tokens are amplified with spells like “Savage Roar” and often sweep away the opponent in a single turn.
The deck is therefore relatively easy to play and should provide especially newcomers with a solid gaming alternative.
Which decks are you currently playing? Are you still experimenting or have you already found your perfect deck for this expansion?
