Why did Rewinside have to secretly post videos? While Rewinside was starting out with his YouTube channel, he was simultaneously in training to become a real estate agent. He says: “I wasn’t actually allowed to have a YouTube channel” (via YouTube).
The reason: He was not allowed to have a secondary income and at that time he could already see the first earnings with his YouTube channel.
How did Rewinside solve the problem? He kept his YouTube channel a secret from his employer and mentioned nothing about his training in his videos. In the interview, he states: “I really lived an undercover double life” (via YouTube).
After work, he came home, recorded two YouTube videos, edited them, and uploaded them to YouTube. His upload times were always at 2 PM and 6 PM, so he had to sneak away from work to release the video on his channel. Back then, it was not possible to schedule the release of videos.
Together with other creators, Rewinside lived in the YouTube house. In the morning, when he went to work, he had to be careful that no one saw him. It was common for fans to try to find out where the YouTube house was.
Additionally, someone could have seen him from the workplace, which probably would have led to the loss of his training.
