In an open letter, the producer of HdRO states: There is no end of the game in sight.
In “The Lord of the Rings Online,” rumors often circulate that the game will cease operations in the coming months – but a letter from Executive Producer “Severlin” sounds entirely different.
As Severlin stated in his message, he took over the reins of the MMORPG some time ago. The developers are reportedly hard at work on Update 19, which is called “March of the King” and is planned to be released sometime in October. Highlights include “The Last Consultation” and the army of the West, which is now moving through North Ithilien. Additionally, landscape quests are making a return and there are some new lodgings where players can settle in.
There are also many improvements on the long list of adjustments. Especially the annoying lags during large boss encounters are expected to be a thing of the past soon. After that, extensive changes to the Hunter and Rogue classes are planned to make their playstyle more popular. Finally, they want to spruce up the various festivals in the game so that they continue to bring joy in the long term.
It seems that the game is far from over in “The Lord of the Rings Online” – and that’s despite the story slowly but surely heading towards its conclusion.
