On the US site Massivelyop, they believe this could be a hint at Vvardenfell. This is the volcanic island from The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. Dataminers discovered hints of Morrowind in The Elder Scrolls Online’s code earlier this January. Namely, this map:

Massively believes: 15 years after Morrowind, 2017 would be the perfect time to bring back Morrowind as an expansion.
It is currently unknown how The Elder Scrolls Online plans to fill the rest of the year with content after the “Housing” update in the first quarter of 2017. Many in the comments under the tweet also suspect it could be a hint at Morrowind. Some think it means: Dragons are coming to The Elder Scrolls Online.
Live stream announced for Tuesday evening
Update 30.1. 10:30: The signs are getting stronger. Zenimax announced on Twitter: On January 31 at 8 PM our time, there will be a live stream on Twitch. They also used this volcanic-looking background image for this tweet.
That all sounds pretty much like a “big reveal.” So we will know by tomorrow evening at the latest what this is all about.
