In the action game For Honor, you now have to fend off an invasion of the cute Rabbids. Ubisoft turns this event into a playable April Fools’ joke.
What was announced? Ubisoft launched a special event in the action game For Honor today. Until April 2 at 6 AM, the Rabbids are attacking in the game. With toilet brushes and plungers!
As part of this event, you can receive a melee package as an exclusive reward.

A Playable April Fools’ Joke
Is this an April Fools’ joke? Yes, basically it is. Just a playable one. Because the Rabbids are really in For Honor.
Who are the Rabbids anyway? The “Raving Rabbids” actually come from Ubisoft’s Rayman games. There, they represented the enemies in the fourth part, but due to their lovable and chaotic, albeit somewhat annoying nature, they won the hearts of the players.
Since the Rabbids were so well received, Ubisoft gave them not only their own games but even a TV series. Even Super Mario had to deal with the crazy characters in the strategy game Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle.
Currently, a movie based on the crazy white rabbits is also in development.
The Fans Hate and Love It
How do players react? The event currently divides the player base of For Honor. Some find it very funny. And for several reasons:
- Finally, they can give the annoying Rabbids a piece of their mind!
- Beating up the Rabbids is just fun, as they bring a lot of humor and charm to the game.
- It’s simply a funny event that fits with April 1st.
Others believe that it does not fit at all with For Honor, as the story and gameplay are very serious, and the Rabbids represent nothing but chaos, bringing disorder to the game. White cartoon bunnies in a battle game? Unthinkable for many. Many are wondering what this is all about.
Apollyon_is_my_Warfu writes on Reddit: “I don’t know what to think of this. On one hand, it’s WTF, on the other, it’s the perfect April Fools’ joke because so many hate it, but it is also so fantastic.”
