Ignatia Wildsmith attended Hogwarts in the 13th century, long before Harry was even born. During her school years, she developed a great interest in Herbology.
Even after graduation, she kept experimenting with various magical plants. In the end, she developed Floo Powder, which revolutionized the communication and travel options in the wizarding world.
Ignatia Wildsmith is considered one of the greatest and most innovative inventors, earning her rank 3.
Rank 2: Flitwick
Of course, Ravenclaw house teacher Filius Flitwick must not be missing from this list. He possesses outstanding intelligence and is a true master in the subject of “Charms,” which he has taught for several decades. He is among the most powerful teachers at Hogwarts.
Especially in his youth, the half-goblin was also a great duelist and received the title of “Dueling Master.”
He demonstrated his combat skills in the Battle of Hogwarts, where he protected the castle with complex protective charms against the Death Eaters. Professor Flitwick certainly deserves his second place.
Rank 1: Rowena Ravenclaw
Strictly speaking, Rowena Ravenclaw was not a member of Ravenclaw, as she was the one who founded the house. However, as the founder, we want to include her in this ranking.
Rowena Ravenclaw was one of the four school founders of Hogwarts and one of the most powerful witches of her time. She was the smartest of the four and always wore a diadem that enhanced her wisdom and intelligence. Later, however, her diadem was stolen by her daughter Helena and used by Voldemort as a Horcrux.
To challenge the students of Hogwarts, she is said to have invented the magical staircases that constantly change directions. It was to be a mental exercise to find one’s way around the school building. Rowena was likely one of the smartest witches to ever live, and therefore ranks first in this ranking.
