No student at Hogwarts would want to mess with Professor McGonagall. The head of Gryffindor House and Deputy Headmistress of Hogwarts knows how to assert herself in a tough but fair way.
As a teacher of “Transfiguration,” she demonstrates her extraordinary talent for the difficult subject. And even outside the classroom, she is not to be underestimated. She is a capable fighter, as she proves in her duel against Snape or in the fight against numerous Death Eaters.
Rank 2: Godric Gryffindor
Godric Gryffindor is one of the four founders of Hogwarts. With his courage and determination, he shaped the values of Gryffindor House. His magical abilities were also extraordinary.
He is said to have been the best duelist of his time. And not only in a magical way, but also in “Muggle-style” combat with his famous sword. For Godric always wanted to meet Muggles on equal terms, even in battle.
He was equally gifted in spellcraft. For example, he is said to have helped enchant the “Sorting Hat,” which may even have been a hat of his own.
Rank 1: Albus Dumbledore
Albus Dumbledore was not only a great headmaster. He was also a true exceptional talent and one of the most powerful wizards of all time.
His spectacular victory in a duel against the dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald made him world-famous in the wizarding community. And Voldemort famously feared no one, except Albus Dumbledore.
He was skilled in pretty much every form of magic, possessed outstanding intelligence, unwavering curiosity, and could easily have become Minister of Magic, had he only wanted to.
