Rank 7: Sirius Black
Next up is James’ best friend, Sirius Black. He was also an Animagus and a member of the “Order of the Phoenix,” and even that twice, because Sirius fought in both major wizarding wars against Voldemort.
He often demonstrated his combat skills in duels against powerful Death Eaters, even though he ultimately was defeated and killed by Bellatrix Lestrange.
His most impressive feat was probably the escape from Azkaban. He was unjustly imprisoned in the wizarding prison for 12 years and managed not to lose his mind despite the Dementors. Transformed into a dog, he ultimately succeeded in his escape. He made history, as it was the first successful escape from Azkaban (without help from outside).
Rank 6: Lily Potter
Harry’s mother Lily Potter, née Evans, was a true magical talent. She was considered one of the smartest and most talented witches of her time – especially if you ask Potions Professor Horace Slughorn.
She was also a member of the “Order of the Phoenix” and therefore likely a good duelist.
However, the moment of her greatest strength was tragically also the moment of her death. By sacrificing herself, she saved Harry’s life and endowed him with an incredibly powerful protection.
Though this happened somewhat accidentally, it is nevertheless the most powerful form of magic throughout the entire Harry Potter series. It requires a completely different inner strength and devotion than the typical “casting a spell” and should definitely not be underestimated. Right, Voldemort?
Rank 5: Hermione Granger
It’s no wonder that Hermione was considered the smartest witch of her year. She studied magic like no other and passionately buried herself in her books. Usually, she was the first to master a new spell in class and taught herself many things on the side.
Without her loyal help, Harry would never have made it this far. To be honest, he probably would have died in the first year. But Hermione can defend herself not only against Death Eaters. She could hold her own in duels with many powerful and far more experienced Death Eaters.
After her time at Hogwarts, she works at the Ministry and later even becomes Minister of Magic.
Rank 4: Harry Potter
Harry Potter did not wish for his role as the “Chosen One.” He also often had help, especially from his loyal friends Ron and Hermione. Nevertheless, not many would have survived what Harry had to endure at such a young age.
Already in his third year, he mastered the Patronus Charm, and in his fourth year, he survived the “Triwizard Tournament.” Time and time again, he stood up to Voldemort until he ultimately defeated him once and for all.
In the process, he has developed into a true expert in “Defense Against the Dark Arts.” He proved this for example when he quickly became a teacher in the “D.A.” and taught his classmates.
Even after his school days, Harry uses his abilities to fight dark wizards, as he becomes an Auror.
