In the highest German league of League of Legends – the Strauss Prime League – things are heating up as the season starts. Eintracht Spandau, the team of the German YouTuber HandOfBlood, started catastrophically but has now won three games in a row. For the fans and the team itself, everything seems possible now, even though the team is in 8th place out of 10.
How did the first weeks go for Eintracht Spandau? Very mixed. Only at the end of 2021 did HandOfBlood, together with his agency INSTINCT3, found the LoL team Eintracht Spandau. They took over the place of EURONICS in the Prime League and want to fight for the EU Masters long-term.
- However, the start of the season went catastrophically, and they couldn’t win a single one of their first four games.
- Problematic were mainly the control of the dragon and the team fights. A lot still seemed uncoordinated. One team fight even went so wrong that it was published as a highlight video titled “Teamfight Throw 2022” by the Prime League (via YouTube).
- On January 23, however, Eintracht Spandau faced Team Wave, which also had to endure four defeats. For a long time, EINS was able to control the game and ultimately win. This victory was even celebrated loudly in front of a tavern.
- Since then, the team has enjoyed a real run of victories. The team is now unbeaten in 3 games in a row. And on Twitter, they remain “typically humble”.

How did the last matches go for Eintracht Spandau? While they had problems with the mid-game and team fights in the first matches, HandOfBlood’s LoL team now plays consistently good games. Especially Pride on the top lane stood out, as he was the only one to win his lane in the last match against Penta 1860.
In fact, the last match was quite balanced over long stretches. However, Eintracht Spandau controlled the dragon and was even able to secure the dragon soul after almost 30 minutes.
The match was ultimately decided by a successful team fight at the Baron.
The team managed to turn things around, especially at their weak points, and to play stronger as a unit. This could pose a significant threat for the rest of the season.
How strong have the opponents been so far? So far, Eintracht Spandau has mainly prevailed against direct competitors for the last places – Wave (10th place) and PENTA 1860 (9th place).
The exception here is Schalke 04, which after a strong 4:0 start has now lost three matches in a row. In the first matches, they faced Gamer Legion, MOUZ, and EWI, who currently occupy 1st, 2nd, and 4th places. In the coming weeks, they will encounter further direct candidates for the midfield, namely Unicorns of Love (5th place) and SK Gaming Prime (7th place).
However, it will only be in the second half of the season that it will show how good the team really is when they play again against Gamer Legion and Co.
The team is already talking about “destruction of the league” and “European Cup”
How does the team react to the victories? As euphoric as usual. Prime, the supporter of Eintracht Spandau, spoke on Twitter of a “beginning” and that they will now destroy the Prime League.
HandOfBlood himself seems satisfied with the performance of the last few days. He again mentioned on Twitter his goal of winning the European Cup.
This cup refers to the EU Masters, a tournament where the best teams from various European leagues compete against each other. It is thus the highest prize one can get outside of the LEC.
Behind these tweets, of course, lies a lot of self-irony and PR, because it would still be a long way to victory at the EU Masters. But that is also the idea behind the team Eintracht Spandau, which wants to create a fan culture similar to what is known in football.
And even in football, the fans of Schalke 04 still sing about the best club in the Ruhr area and the championship, even though they no longer play in the top league.
