As part of the FYNG Caggtus, the new game by HandOfBlood was presented. The content creator was not on site himself but demanded positive reviews for his game via a video message.
What kind of game is this? 9 Kings is a rogue-like strategy game created by Sad Socket in collaboration with INSTINCT3.
In this strategy game, you use unique cards to build your kingdom and defend it in epic battles. The goal is to become the undisputed king of kings.
The game offers the following content:
- Field with up to 9 tiles
- 9 factions with kings
- 99 cards per faction that allow you to create various buildings, warriors, and monsters
- Countless combo possibilities thanks to the different cards
HandOfBlood wants good reviews, isn’t even there
How does HandOfBlood demand good reviews? The publisher and content creator HandOfBlood sent a video message via mobile phone, in which he asked the colleagues from Gamestar for only positive reviews in the reviews with a rating of 90+.
He even missed the presentation of his game and had to rewind during a live stream on Twitch to watch the presentation trailer and his video message.
Why did HandOfBlood miss his appearance? The streamer was in the middle of a live stream with a no-death run in Dark Souls when his game was presented on Caggtus at the same time.
The video message caused dismay for gaming expert and host of the FYNG Show Maurice Weber, because the streamer didn’t even bother to record his video on a throne – fitting for the title 9 Kings.
HandOfBlood reacted casually in the stream. He had been tasked with somehow presenting his game and that’s what he did.
With 9 Kings, the 3rd indie gaming project of his company INSTINCT3, which aims to provide an alternative to Blizzard and other major developers, has already been released:
- with TerraScape released in July 2024 a building game
- with Megaloot released at the end of August 2024 an inventory management roguelite RPG
- both games have been well received by the community and quickly gathered strong 87 and 88% positive ratings on Steam.
The game was presented as part of the Find Your Next Game (FYNG) show by GameStar, GamePro, and MeinMMO at Caggtus – a major gaming festival taking place from April 11 to 13, 2025, in Leipzig, showcasing numerous highlights from the industry.
