On Friday, an influencer Dart tournament hosted by HandOfBlood took place on Twitch. At its peak, 70,000 viewers were watching. Among the standout remarks was one from Nils Bomhoff, a host from RocketBeans. On Twitch, however, MontanaBlack won the weekend with his event “Haufen Kartons.”
What kind of tournament was it?
- HandOfBlood hosted a Dart tournament in Berlin on Friday evening and invited numerous German influencers, particularly from the LoL scene such as NoWay4U, Broeki, Tolkin, and Kutcher. But other well-known streamers like Mowky, GamerBrother, and Papaplatte were also present.
- HandOfBlood himself had to cancel the event at the last minute – he caught Covid. He wrote on July 26 that it was really tough for him to prepare an event for half a year and then cancel it last minute (via twitter).
- However, he seems extremely satisfied with the tournament, and the atmosphere was excellent.
Through his LoL team Eintracht Spandau and his own history, HandOfBlood is well-connected in League of Legends.
Brammen and Powlster win Dart event
Who won the tournament? The team Brammen and Powlster emerged as the winners. A total of 8 teams competed. The team with the largest reach on Twitch was Papaplatte and NoWay4U.
During the halftime, DJ Ötzi was heard.
Special events dominate the weekend on German Twitch
How did the tournament go? At its peak, 70,167 people were watching HandOfBlood.
It was a big “Special Event” weekend in Germany anyway. MontanaBlack even reached more viewers with his own special event “Haufen Kartons”, where 90,795 viewers were watching at the peak on Sunday.
What was discussed during the tournament? One of the moderators of the Dart tournament was Nils Bomhoff from RocketBeans. He apparently delivered the quote of the night when Papaplatte and NoWay4U needed only a 17:
On reddit, the clip was commented with: “180 from Nils Bomhoff, without him playing.”
This topic is also very relevant because a very similar case was hotly debated in the USA, and in Germany, a comment blogger, who usually discusses every topic on Twitch, has been ignoring this topic for weeks because he feels personally connected to MontanaBlack.
