HandOfBlood is arguably one of the most creative and original German-speaking content creators. He is particularly known for his diverse costumes. Depending on which game he focuses on in his videos, he dresses accordingly. With a self-built tank, in which he sits while playing “World of Tanks”, the YouTuber sets new standards.
What is the situation? On YouTube, he appears dressed as a hitman, burglar, or chef. HandOfBlood, whose real name is Maximilian Knabe, does not hold back on creativity in his videos. Thanks to an ambitious team, he surprises in his weekly videos with original ideas. This includes sitting half-naked in a cauldron and hopping up a mountain.
Only ordinary gameplay can be found on HandOfBlood’s secondary channel at most. Instead, he takes on the role of the game hero himself. Thanks to his advertising partnership with the “World of Tanks” developer, HandOfBlood can actually be found in the game, complete with his face.
Or he leaves the digital world and takes a ride in a real tank.

HandOfBlood shows how creative advertising works
In the recently released video, “World of Tanks” is once again the focus. This time, HandOfBlood and his team spared no effort in building a mini-tank out of metal over a period of two months. In it, the YouTuber sits in his new video and, due to the deliberately unrealistic proportions, presents a humorous image.
The twist: The self-built tank is not just aesthetic decor. The control of the game also works through it. Traditional computer mouse and keyboard were discarded, and instead, a system was developed that allows HandOfBlood to control his digital vehicle from the tank.
For example, the tank barrel moves in accordance with the movement of the mouse. As seen in the video, this does not make the operation easier. Rather, the barrel, and thus the crosshair, must be realigned regularly. This costs time and may, in the worst case, result in screen death.
But see for yourself:
How does the community react to the video? The audience of the YouTuber must be given credit: they do not hold back on praise considering the great effort and high quality. Numerous comments celebrate the video and primarily the self-built tank.
- @Vaspelderechte: “No one puts as much effort into a placement as HandOfBlood, really impressive.”
- @SuperDuperMart1: “That’s just a 100/10. So far, I’ve hardly seen any WoT content creator who puts as much effort and creativity into “World of Tanks” videos as HandOfBlood.”
- @harryhups: “Thanks to Hänno and team! Just perfect entertainment to end the day.”
So it is clear that creativity on YouTube still pays off. HandOfBlood is certainly an exception among the homogeneous mass of German content creators, and it is to be hoped that the success and reach of his videos will serve as a model for others.
