Halo Infinite Season 5: Reckoning starts right on the second anniversary of the multiplayer mode. A first trailer was uploaded yesterday, on October 10, 2023, and collects almost as many views in one day as its predecessor gathered in three whole months. Watch the trailer here on MeinMMO.
What to expect in the new season: The fifth season starts on October 18, 2023, and not only brings a new battle pass and new content but, as the trailer suggests, also a quality improvement that might turn things around for Halo Infinite.

With the new season, two new arena maps will be introduced to the game. The first map is named Forbidden
and focuses on close and mid-range combat. The second map is named Prisma
and offers you, in contrast, the possibility for good sniper and long-range combat.
You will also get a new mode that should be familiar to players of Halo 4. Season 5 brings back the popular mode Extraction
as PvP. Whether this mode is limited to the two new maps or will be playable on all maps remains unclear.
Firefight: King of the Hill is another exciting addition. This is a new PvE option that aims to enhance the cooperative gameplay experience.
You can also look forward to cosmetic upgrades in Season 5. The battle pass offers upgrades inspired by the zombie-like alien hivemind – The Flood. You can also earn Master Chief’s armor from the campaign mode.
Even if not all content for the new season has been announced yet, this selection has already promised some interesting content.
Players hope for a turning point for Halo Infinite
What are the reactions? Not only do the views of the trailer indicate that many are looking forward to the new season. The trailer has received almost as many views in one day as the trailer for Season 4 could gather in 3 months. Only about 28,000 views distinguish the two videos.
Anyone who has followed Halo Infinite over the last two years may share the opinion of many other players that the game has not been looking that good for a while. This seems to be changing with the new season.
How much the change in the team behind Halo Infinite is responsible for this can only be speculated. For example, jfitz6517 (via YouTube) writes that it is incredible what a change in leadership can achieve.
