At Microsoft’s E3 presentation this Sunday evening, a proper trailer for Halo Infinite was finally shown. The story of Master Chief continues, and the Spartan is back in action.
What is Halo Infinite? Halo Infinite is intended to be a sort of spiritual reboot of the Halo series, while also continuing the story of Master Chief after Halo 5. That’s why the developers at 343 Industries chose the name Halo Infinite.
In an interview, Executive Producer Kiki Wolfkill mentioned that they want to appeal to a new generation of players with Halo Infinite, including those whose parents have played Halo themselves.
Additionally, Infinite is supposed to take a new direction. Rumors suggest this could hint at a Halo with live service, similar to Fortnite or Destiny.

After Halo Infinite was announced at E3 last year, only a trailer for the new Slipstream engine was shown, but at E3 2019, there was finally gameplay footage of the upcoming shooter.
When is it coming out? A release date for Halo Infinite has not been announced. However, it is said to be a launch title for the next Xbox Scarlett, which is expected to be released in Christmas 2020.
Halo Infinite will be available for Xbox Scarlett and PC.
Project Scarlett is the name under which the console is being developed at Microsoft. The final name has not been confirmed yet.

What can be seen? The trailer begins with a stranger trapped on a spaceship. His ship loses pressure, and it’s clear that the man is in considerable trouble.
With great effort, the stranger manages to patch the leak. Shortly after, he receives a friendly signal. He tries to make contact over the radio but receives no response. When he wipes the fogged window, he sees a figure in front of his spaceship – Master Chief is floating lifelessly in space.
The man expends his remaining energy reserves to revive Master Chief, hoping that the Chief can rescue him from his predicament.

The Chief finds in his right hand the chip that housed his AI friend Cortana in the previous parts, but now it is empty. The man shows the Chief why he is in such a bind: He apparently comes from a ring world, a Halo, which has been destroyed.
Instead of fleeing, the Chief sets out to fight again. He opens the ship’s hatches, and the name of the game is revealed: Halo Infinite.
The fans are still waiting for actual gameplay footage.
