Trick-or-Treat Nights, Shadow Festivals, and Lost Celebrations
Read here all about the creepy Trick-or-Treat Nights in World of Warcraft, the bewitched Festival of the Lost from Destiny, the terrifying Shadow Night from Paragon and the Halloween fun from Overwatch! Each of these events is definitely worth a visit.
World of Warcraft: Spooky Atmosphere for Trick-or-Treat Night
World of Warcraft also celebrates Halloween, and in Blizzard’s MMORPG, the spooky festival is integrated into the lore as “Trick-or-Treat Nights”. The background of the celebration is appropriately the liberation of the Forsaken from the Scourge. The festival starts on October 18 and offers special tasks, costumes, candies, and the burning of straw dolls. The latter is fittingly done by the big NPCs Genn Greymane and Lady Sylvanas. The two are perfect for the job as a werewolf and banshee!
Destiny: The Festival of the Lost
The MMO shooter Destiny also gets scarier in October, as our Guardians can don spooky masks and scare our enemies in Bungie’s MMO shooter for a change. In addition, the Tower will likely be festively decorated again and there will be candy from the NPCs.
Paragon: Watch Twitch Streams and Score Super Stylish Spooky Skins
The MOBA game Paragon offers the Halloween event “Night of Shadows” and a total of seven really cool skins for our heroes are available. One skin is free, and the other six can be won by watching Twitch streams of Paragon from October 11 to 24. Alternatively, starting October 25, you can still purchase the skins individually or as a bundle for real money.
Overwatch: Witch Mercy and PvE Mode!
In Blizzard’s hero shooter Overwatch, there is also a fun Halloween event starting October 11, where we can pull particularly cool skins for our heroes from loot boxes. There are also skins available for credits, but at absurd prices! In addition to the fun and spooky skins (Witch Mercy!!!), there is a new brawl game mode called “Dr. Junkenstein’s Revenge”. In it, we blast our way through the monsters created by the insane Dr. Junkenstein alongside three teammates in the first PvE mode of Overwatch’s history!
