One of the biggest events in Pokémon GO is likely to start again in 2019: the Halloween event. But which Pokémon can be expected?
What makes the Halloween event special: In the last two years, new Pokémon were added for Halloween as well. For example, Ghost Pokémon from the 3rd and 4th generation appeared in the wild. In 2018, a new legendary Pokémon was even introduced with Giratina.
This year, a lot could also happen in the popular event. We will show you what has already been leaked and which Pokémon fit the occasion.
These 5th generation Pokémon could come
These are the ghost monsters: With the first wave of the 5th generation, two ghost families were already introduced. There are only two other ghost-type families in the 5th generation:
- Swablu and Apoquallyp
- Makabaja and Echnatoll
Makabaja was teased by Niantic a few days ago, so a release soon is conceivable. It would fit perfectly with Halloween.
These are the dark monsters: As we already know from other Halloween events, not only ghost Pokémon come to Halloween. Dark-type monsters are also found in larger numbers. Last year, for example, Skunkapuh was one of them.
The following dark-type Pokémon are available in the 5th generation:
- Ganovil, Rokkaiman and Rabigator
- Zurrokex and Irokex
- Zorua and Zoroark
- Gladiantri and Caesurio
- Skallyk and Grypheldis
These are the psychic Pokémon: In addition to ghost and dark types, psychic Pokémon also often join the Halloween event. Here’s a selection of psychic monsters that fit well with Halloween:
- Fleknoil and Fletiamo
- Mollimorba, Hypnomorba and Morbitesse
- Monozyto, Mitodos and Zytomega
Which Pokémon are the most realistic? Strong candidates for release are Makabaja and Zorua. They fit perfectly into the Halloween setting. Skallyk and Grypheldis could also fit in, as they represent vultures that are often depicted as evil.
What data miners have already found
Diverse hints of the return of Kryppuk have been discovered. This Pokémon was introduced in Halloween 2018 in special research and has only been catchable this time.
If data miners can be believed, it could return this year and bring a new special research with it.
These files indicate Kryppuk: Diverse text files were found with the names “Quest Title Kryppuk 2019” or “A Scary Message 2019” .
It is said that the special research has 3 stages. In 2018 there were also 3 stages and at the end one was able to catch Kryppuk.
Fans hope for: The return of a Pokémon always raises hopes for the introduction of a shiny version. This would also provide an incentive for players who already own Kryppuk to complete the special research.
What else could happen at Halloween? These events have always brought double candies. A similar bonus is probably to be expected in 2019.
