Warhammer: Vermintide 2 has been on the market for quite some time now. At the E3 2019, there was even new information about the game and the future holds a lot for players. But how is the game doing currently?
This is how Vermintide has performed so far: Warhammer: Vermintide 2 has been available for over a year now. During this time, it has been re-released on various platforms:
- On PC (Steam) on March 8, 2018
- On Xbox One on July 11, 2018
- On PS4 on December 18, 2019
So far, two DLCs have been released for Vermintide 2, sending players back to Bögenhafen in two missions and back to Ubersreik in three missions from the first part. Additionally, features have been improved. There are now challenges and support for mods.

How many players play Vermintide 2? Since Vermintide 2 is playable on PC as well as consoles, the absolute number of players is hard to capture. Usually, there are no official numbers for Xbox One and PS4.
On PC, however, the number of players can be measured by steamcharts . According to the website, 3154 players played on average in the last 30 days, with up to 6423 players concurrently (as of June 18 at 5:00 PM).
This is a significant increase compared to the past months. After a small peak in March 2019, Vermintide 2 struggled with fewer players, who now seem to be returning.
Vermintide 2’s popularity on Twitch: A different picture emerges on Twitch. The developers Fatshark were able to attract almost 4000 viewers with a stream for the beta of the new expansion Winds of Magic.
However, looking back over the past 90 days, there has been a stagnation in viewer count. Constantly under 1000 viewers watched Vermintide 2.
Only in the last 10 days has it slowly started to recover, and the average goes up. However, Vermintide 2 only attracts many viewers during larger events.

- In August 2019, the first expansion Winds of Magic is expected to come with a new enemy species, the Beastmen
