A massive leak has occurred at GameFreak, the creators of Pokémon. According to reports, the next two generations, the next Legends game, and a remake of popular editions have already been revealed.
What is this MMO about? A game called Pokémon Project Seed is supposed to be released that finally unites multiple regions and is intended to be an MMO. Here, players are expected to experience an “online game of the next generation” that could connect the Hoenn and Sinnoh regions.
This means that the first four generations would be playable: Kanto, Johto, Sinnoh, and Hoenn. A new region called Kitakami, known from the DLC of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, would also be included.
You can find suitable screenshots on the X account of CentroLeaks. The quality of the graphics looks significantly improved compared to Scarlet & Violet. And as one user writes, this would fulfill all childhood dreams.
New Generation of Pokémon plays with the weather
What will the next edition be? The next main Pokémon games, which will represent the 10th generation, are expected to be called Pokémon Wind & Waves. This time, players will venture into the jungle, which will play a significant role for the first time. There is also supposed to be a new graphics engine.
From the leaks that are scattered all over the X account of CentroLeaks, there is a wealth of information about the new editions:
- The theme of the editions is Infinity. The islands are supposed to be procedurally generated, symbolizing infinity.
- Your mother has supposedly won a trip in the lottery and is taking a long break. You are rumored to have a sibling as well.
- This time, players will likely start in a large city inspired by Kuala Lumpur. The region would be inspired by Malaysia. Overall, the focus has been on Southeast Asia and Indonesia.
- There’s a new mechanic called Seed-Pokémon. These are special baby Pokémon from the region that evolve when they reach the island of the legendary Pokémon. Their evolution has infinite variations.
- The legendary Pokémon are inspired by a grandfather and grandmother. They will only accept people who have raised the Seed-Pokémon correctly.
- There’s a new battle mechanic, the Tenko-Waza. It has to do with the weather.
The starting point will be a resort hotel, which will also serve as an MMO lobby. Here, players will meet other trainers and can interact with them. At this location, there will also be a quest board with new tasks.
Thus, for the first time, there will be an MMO element here as well. However, this aspect might have changed since this concept was still in an early development phase. According to the leaker’s information, the 10th generation is supposed to be released in 2026, with the DLC following in 2027.

- Pokémon Legends 3 will take place in the Galar region and be set 1,000 years in the past. Here, it looks like you will have to develop the first Gigamax Pokéball. It is expected to be released in 2027 or later.
- The 11th generation is currently expected to be released in 2030. However, this could be where changes happen most easily.
Can we trust this information? Keep in mind that this is a leak, and there is no guarantee that the information is actually correct. Even if the hacker managed to extract the real data from GameFreak, it is possible that the company has changed or is in the process of changing its plans for some games.
