The early access of the zombie survival MMO H1Z1 will probably take a while longer. At SOE Live, the house convention, they also do not want to announce a release date.
If you search the internet for “H1Z1 Early Access”, you will come across articles announcing an upcoming EA launch in May, June, July, and August. By the latest for SOE Live, which starts at the end of the week alongside Gamescom, one had expected the announcement of an early access date. However, this hope was dashed by SOE president John Smedley late Monday evening our time with a tweet, embedded between thoughts of buying a puppy, stating that they will not announce a date for the launch of H1Z1 Early Access at SOE Live:
we aren’t announcing an H1Z1 EA date at SOE Live btw.

Is Smedley trolling the fans?
In the Reddit thread on the topic, fans are hotly debating Smedley’s tweet. Some believe that Smedley is trolling the fans and misdirecting them with the tweet since they want to announce the release date sooner. Others who are more optimistic believe that instead of mentioning a date, they will simply open the servers directly. Others do not see it so positively and are quite annoyed (fitting for the zombie MMO). We will keep you updated on the latest developments.
