H1Z1, the zombie survival game by Daybreak, exists separately as a PvP version and a PvE title. Recently, the PvP edition called “King of the Kill” received many updates, while the PvE version stagnated. Landon Montgomery, former co-founder of Gearbox, is said to take over as the new general manager to end the crisis.
H1Z1 is a zombie survival game that was split into two games in early 2016. One game, “King of the Kill”, revolves around brutal PvP battles, while the PvE version “Just Survive” depicts the classic “humans against zombies” situation. However, the latter has been poorly handled by the developer Daybreak lately, while the PvP edition has been continuously developed.
New Chief Promises Improvements
The dire situation for Just Survive is set to change soon, as the PvE division of H1Z1 has a new chief who promises extensive updates. This is none other than Landon Montgomery, the former co-founder of Gearbox, the studio behind the cult classic Borderlands as well as the wonderfully quirky shooter MOBA Battleborn.
On Reddit, Montgomery published an open letter hinting at extensive updates in Just Survive. While no concrete information is mentioned, the new chief seems to have a lot of updates planned, and a large Q&A session in the “Ask Me Anything” format is also supposed to take place soon.
