H1Z1 has a new Executive Producer. Chris Wynn was previously Development Director for Mass Effect Andromeda.
At the end of 2015, the news came that Chris Wynn was leaving Bioware and Mass Effect. He had led the development of Mass Effect Andromeda, an RPG that fans of the series were looking forward to. Previously, Wynn was involved in the Gears of War franchise.
Now it has become clear where Wynn is setting up his tents. He has landed at Daybreak Game Company. Wynn will be the new Executive Producer for the Survival MMO H1Z1. An Executive Producer is typically responsible for the organizational side of game development, establishing the parameters within which designers can be creative, managing workflows, personnel, and overall accountability. In a football club, he would be the manager.
Wynn realized during conversations how fantastic he fits into the game and its creative vision, he tweeted about it on Twitter.
Still getting settled into my new office, but am thrilled to announce that I am now the Executive Producer of @H1Z1game at @DaybreakGames

Wynn also stated how much he looks forward to discussing the future of H1Z1. They also want to talk soon about the port of the game to the Playstation 4. H1Z1 is currently still in Early Access, exclusively for PC.
In the second half of 2015, fans seemed not particularly excited about the direction the game was taking. It has also been quiet lately regarding inquiries about a console port.
It seems that H1Z1 is no longer the hype title of the hour, as it was at the beginning of 2015. Currently, Ark Survival Evolved has filled that gap. But maybe that will change with Chris Wynn.
Thanks everyone for the kind words. Everyone is asking about a PS4 version, news on that coming soon!
