The zombie online game H1Z1 Just Survive is set to rise from the dead in early 2017.
H1Z1 Just Survive has been in Early Access for almost two years now, but in 2016 it seemed more dead than alive. Perhaps a fitting state for a zombie MMO, but one still wants to change that.
Currently, they are on something like an “We are still here” tour. Daybreak’s Ben Jones was a guest at mmorpg and talked about the future of the game.

In the short term – and this is what has been done lately – they want to improve the current state of H1Z1 Just Survive through bug fixes and quality of life updates.
H1Z1 awaits the polish it deserves
They see H1Z1 as a “rough diamond” waiting for the polish it deserves. They envision a game focused on base building and dangerous encounters. But before they get to the “new things”, first come the bug fixes. Another patch is supposed to arrive in December.

The highlights of what they have planned for H1Z1 Just Survive should be expected by players early in 2017. The actual plans to turn H1Z1 Just Survive into a zombie MMO are more extensive. That won’t happen overnight, Jones said. They want to work with a lot of energy on things like crafting, the backstory, and base building. Especially in terms of building their own base, they want to switch to a modular system.
However, before new features come, they want to get the game in shape with fixes first.
