The legends of the Revenant in Guild Wars 2 are now complete: Shiro Tagachi is the fourth and final.
In a developer post, ArenaNet has announced that the new class, which is set to come with the Heart of Thorns expansion, will be able to draw on the abilities of another legendary character from the first Guild Wars, who is a nimble melee fighter.
Jade Wind and Double Swords
Veterans who played the first part of Guild Wars, especially the “Factions” expansion, will surely still remember Shiro Tagachi. Those who joined only with Guild Wars 2 will soon get to know Tagachi, as many of his abilities are available to the Revenant with the addon Heart of Thorns.
- One of the most impressive abilities is probably “Unrelenting Assault“, where the Revenant jumps rapidly from enemy to enemy, injuring each and gaining a stack of might.
- But “Phase Dash” is impressive as well and is excellent for starting a combo. The character dashes through the mists directly to their targeted enemy and gains a stack of “unblockable attack” – meaning your next effect will definitely reach the enemy.
- Other abilities like the Jade Wind have already been seen by players in the campaign of Guild Wars Factions. It temporarily turns enemies into jade (and thus stuns them).
