Also in the year 2019, the MMORPG Guild Wars 2 is once again hosting a Halloween festival. The new trailer also reveals some first novelties for the event, although these are smaller than last year’s.
When does Halloween 2019 take place? The spooky event takes place in Guild Wars 2 from October 15 to November 5. Usually, the updates for it are released at 6:00 PM our time.
Also this year, you can look forward to the familiar contents like the Labyrinth and the Mad King’s Clock Tower. However, a few novelties are also recognizable in the associated trailer.
Pumpkin Helmet and New Weapons
What’s new in the Halloween event? Although the developers of Guild Wars 2 do not announce any new content directly, you can spot two novelties in the trailer:
- A pumpkin helmet.
- A new weapon set that looks like a modified version of the Ascalonian weapons.
Since no further innovations were announced, players expect that these will be the only adjustments for the event. This was different last year when Halloween was expanded by two new activities.
Many Varied Tasks Also in 2019
What can you expect at the Halloween event? Halloween is the festival in Guild Wars 2 where you have the most to do. Here’s what awaits you:
- The Mad King’s Labyrinth, where you can farm candy bags.
- The Mad King’s Clock Tower, an exciting jumping puzzle.
- The Descent into Madness, an instance where you can confront the Mad King Thorn directly.
- The PvP modes Mad Inquisition and Reaper’s Roar.
- Various mount races, including one for the roller beetle.
- The game “The Mad King Says” in the Piazza in Lion’s Arch, which always takes place at even hours.
- Various collections and achievements.
Additionally, you can also earn a lot of rewards from the previous years, including the rare shoulder skin Nightshade or the syringe-shaped dagger.
New Challenges Every Month: Halloween is also part of the new offensive from Guild Wars 2, in which you can look forward to an exciting event every month. In September, the prologue to the upcoming season of the Living World was already released.
For November, many players are expecting the release of the first episode of the Icebrood Saga. Until then, however, there are plenty of tasks to tackle at the spookiest event of the year!
