Fantasy MMO Guild Wars 2 will present its plans for the year 2015 on January 24 in San Antonio. It will probably be about the end of the second season of the Living World and what was announced there.
At the end of January, PAX South, the first major video game fair of the new year, will take place in San Antonio. Guild Wars 2 will be represented by Game Director Colin Johanson and Mike O’Brien, the president of ArenaNet. With the first guard, so to speak.
There will be a panel presenting the game’s plans for 2015. It is titled “Beyond the Point of No Return” – “The Living World was just the beginning…”
January 13 also sees the continuation of the Living World
They promise even a sneak peek, which could mean there will be images and plans for a possible expansion, although that would be the best case; it could also remain much smaller. We will know more on January 24.
The next season of the Living World is coming a bit earlier, on January 13 it will continue. Reading the description of the panel, it seems that the panel directly addresses what players want to know when they have experienced this Living Story.
For the end of the Living Story, GW2 promised a “real bang” that should initiate something new. It could actually be that this is about an expansion.
Is GW2 waiting for the last episode of the Living Story before revealing expansion plans?
Mein MMO thinks: So far, little is known about GW2’s plans for 2015. This may be because they are preparing an expansion in the last episodes of the Living World and do not want to spoil that with an announcement.
We will probably know more on January 13, when the new episode goes live.
