With the upcoming expansion to Guild Wars 2, Heart of Thorns, one race is particularly in the spotlight: the Sylvari. But who are these plant-like beings? And where do they come from?
With the expansion, the dragon Mordremoth attempts to corrupt the Sylvari and turn them to his side. How exactly this unfolds and how it affects the game is currently not clear or publicly available.
It will definitely be interesting to see how ArenaNet handles the Sylvari in the future. The game seems to hint that one should no longer trust the Sylvari. Will the other races turn against them? And what does that mean for players with a Sylvari character? Will they receive “secret” missions to infiltrate the other races?
