In the MMORPG Guild Wars 2, the seventh raid is on the horizon. In it, a familiar opponent awaits you. Along with the raid comes an event aimed at casual PvE players.
What can you expect in the new raid? The new raid “Key of Ahdashim” takes you to an ancient city where the princes of Vaabi once sought refuge.
This city was guarded by the Djinn, who will also play a significant role in the raid. As the final boss, we will face Qadim, a Djinn who was already part of the previous raid.
The trailer reveals that the “Key of Ahdashim” will likely include three bosses:
- A Djinn (from second 16)
- A branded Minotaur (from second 20)
- Qadim (from second 32)
Additionally, another branded creature and an elemental are visible, both in different perspectives than the bosses. They could be part of an event.
When is the new raid coming out? The new raid “Key of Ahdashim” will be introduced next Tuesday, June 11. However, the raid does not come alone.
Together with it, ArenaNet is planning another event, where all players should get their money’s worth, including those who usually do not raid.
New, shiny weapons for everyone
What happens in the new event? The new raid sends waves outside of the instance and infects certain world bosses with ley energy.
Defeating these bosses yields colorful crystal essences, which can be transformed into new weapons at the Mystic Forge. These weapons will still be available after the special event, but only in the raid itself.
How long will the event last? The special event “Get Shiny Items” will run from June 11 with the patch release until June 25.
Which bosses are affected by the ley energy? You can obtain colorful crystal essences from the following 13 bosses:
- Shadow Behemoth
- Svanir Shaman Chief
- Fire Elemental
- The Great Jungle Wurm
- Crusher
- Modniir Ulgoth
- Inquest Golem Type II
- Jormag’s Claw
- Admiral Taidha Covington
- Mega Destroyer
- Karka Queen
- Tequatl the Sunless
- Triple Trouble
How exactly you can craft the new weapons and how many bosses you need to defeat for it has not yet been revealed.
Elaborate collections and regular events keep players engaged
What is happening currently in Guild Wars 2? On May 14, the latest episode of the Living World was released. This introduced a new mount and the new area Dragonfall to the game, which many players consider the best map ever.
Since then, there has been another patch that introduced a legendary trinket called Vision. At the colleagues at Guildnews, you can find a guide to the various collections and tasks.
Events to keep busy between patches: On Tuesday, June 4, a new event started in Guild Wars 2, which offers additional rewards for completing certain meta-events. The event will run for a week, exactly until the release of the new raid.
This bonus week is part of a new initiative, where, similar to Guild Wars 1, regular bonus rewards for old content will be given out.
These regular events and the many content patches in recent weeks have been very well received by our author:
