With End of Dragons, a new mount was introduced in Guild Wars 2: the Siege Turtle. However, it is currently not easy to obtain. We at MeinMMO will tell you what you need to do.
How do you get the Siege Turtle? To unlock the new mount, Siege Turtle, you need to complete a collection. It’s called “Stomping” and can be found in the achievements under the tab “End of Dragon -> Cantha”.
For completing the collection, you will receive 5 achievement points, one mastery point, and the mount. The collection consists of a total of 8 tasks, which we will introduce to you in more detail throughout the guide.
However, even the first step of the collection is currently a major challenge.
Complete Stomping – Here’s how
What is the first task? The first task states that you need to obtain a turtle egg. You can find this at the end of the meta-event in the area “Dragon’s End”.
All you need to do is finish the meta-event. But this is a significant challenge. Currently, most groups fail at the timer of the final fight against the dragon.
- The timer is very long, but due to many phase changes, a lot of DPS is needed.
- The pre-events are quite lengthy and some players get lost during the waiting time.
- Furthermore, many players are still overwhelmed by the mechanics.
Step 2 – Bring the turtle egg to Rota: After completing the meta-event, you need to visit Rota in the north of Arborstone. She will be marked with a symbol when you have the step active.
There you will receive the collection “Turtle Unlock: Everyone Starts Small”.
Step 3 – Everyone Starts Small: For this part, you need to buy food for your turtle. For that, you will need:
- 150 carrots
- 250 kale
- 250 lettuce
- 250 strawberries
Step 4 – Talk to Rota: For this step, you need to talk to Rota again. This unlocks the achievement “Turtle Unlock: Empowerment”.
Step 5 – Turtle Unlock: Empowerment: For this part, you need to feed your Siege Turtle fish. You can earn these through fishing:
- 100 fine fish fillets
- 50 wonderful fish fillets
- 10 fresh fish fillets
- 5 fantastic fish fillets
Step 6 – Talk to Rota about crafting a saddle: After talking to Rota, the achievement “Turtle Unlock: Being Shelled” gets activated.
Step 7 – Turtle Unlock: Being Shelled: For this part of the achievement, you need to complete various events and purchase items from heart vendors:
- Luxon tools – For this part, you need to defeat one of the jade striders in Dragon’s End
- Turret plans – Get them for 16 gold from heart vendor Elora in New Kaineng
- Turret parts – Get them from the meta-event in the province of Seitung, where you need to defeat Renyak
- Allola oil – Get it for completing an event in the Echowald wilderness. It takes place in the farn valley at the Eternal Tree.
- Deluxe leather seat – For this, you need to defeat a leviathan. These appear in both the meta-event of the province Seitung and in New Kaineng
- Jet plans – Get them for 16 gold from heart vendor Tengu spy in the Echowald wilderness
- Jet control unit – Get it from the assault mission “Ministry of Security”
- Episode colors selection – Trade 25 unidentified colors with Fidget
Step 8: Here you need to talk to Rota one last time and then you will have your mount.
