In Guild Wars 2, the next expansion “Heart of Thorns” is expected to receive a beta relatively soon. The special thing is: There will be no confidentiality agreement for testers.
In Boston, the Pax East fair is currently taking place. There are playable demos of the GW2 expansion “Heart of Thorns”, which helps us very little here, a few thousand kilometers away from New England.
But: A beta is expected to start shortly after PAX East. From then on, we will probably constantly receive new information about the expansion. ArenaNet is abandoning the confidentiality agreement, the NDA. Therefore, many streams, videos, and reports about the beta are anticipated.
How do you sign up for the Heart of Thorns beta?
If you want to not just read about Heart of Thorns or watch videos about it but prefer to get involved: You do not sign up for the HoT beta, but are selected. ArenaNet prefers active players and those who have subscribed to the newsletter for the selection of testers. So, this could still be worthwhile. The test will start small. With each successful round, new players will be added.
