In Guild Wars 2, a new program is being launched for the Autumn Tournament: Killer PvP guilds can provide a home for a developer and adopt them for the duration of the event.
At ArenaNet, it is said in a forum post that there was a lengthy conversation, and it was decided to step out of their own shell, out of the comfort zone, to leave their own guilds and worlds for a time, and to experience the game as other players do.
Therefore, guilds that actively participate in World vs. World are asked to contact ArenaNet to “adopt” a Guild Wars 2 developer. They will then fight alongside them in the Autumn Tournament and are expected to gain firsthand insights into World versus World.
However, the developers are subject to similarly complicated rules as Gremlins. The GW2 players should treat them with care; always remember that they are spending their free time here; should not be used as a sounding board for all sorts of complaints, and they should also remain more in the background: No one should expect them to lead the team into battle right away.
A dampener for European players: At the moment, this action seems to only extend to the US servers of Guild Wars 2. Perhaps that will change. The initial reaction seems positive, with many guilds reportedly having already made an offer.
