A guild has taken on the first raid Molten Core together in WoW Classic. In doing so, they found two bosses and some of the rarest items in the MMORPG – in the same run, within a few minutes.
What did the players find? When the guild “BLaDE of KiLL” fought through Molten Core today, on September 19, they also battled against the two bosses Garr and Baron Geddon.
Both bosses have a chance to drop extremely rare items: the left and right bindings of the windseeker.
Both items have only a few percent chance to drop at all. Garr already had the first binding:
The guild was noticeably excited about the loot and some players and users joked that now the second binding might drop from Baron Geddon. Many guilds usually spend weeks on this.
The joy of the guild was correspondingly great when the binding actually dropped:
BLaDE of KiLL may not be the first to defeat the Molten Core, but they are certainly among the first guilds to obtain a legendary weapon in WoW Classic.
Thunderaan the Windseeker in WoW Classic
What are the bindings good for? The bindings can be used in WoW Classic to complete the quest “Thunderaan the Windseeker.” Along with ten Elementium Bars and the Essence of the Firelord, Thunderaan can be summoned.
Thunderaan is another boss that you need to defeat with your raid and who rewards you with the legendary weapon Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker.
The two bindings are usually the items that block progress for the corresponding quest. The essence is a guaranteed drop, and the bars can be crafted, which is costly but usually takes less time than many raid nights.
Did someone say Thunderfury?
This is the famous weapon: Thunderfury can be wielded by warriors, rogues, and hunters and is particularly popular among combat rogues, fury warriors, and protection warriors.
It deals considerable damage and is used by tanks to generate more aggro on groups as it triggers a chain lightning effect on hit.
However, Thunderfury has also become a meme. The shout “Did someone say [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]?” became legendary for inciting jealousy among other players and trolling them.
Thunderfury is just one of the three legendary weapons that will be available in WoW Classic. The others are the two-handed mace Sulfuras and the staff Ati’esh. The latter will only be obtainable with Naxxramas.
