Only a few days left until interested players can find out if Guardians of Ember really plays like a mix of Diablo 3 and MMORPG.
Publisher Insel Games and the developer studio Runewaker (Runes of Magic, Dragon’s Prophet) have announced that the Early Access of Guardians of Ember will start on December 13. Anyone wanting to participate then has the choice between two editions. The Mortal Edition offers the base game for 19.99 Euros, while the Immortal Edition grants you exclusive additional content for 49.99 Euros.
Many development possibilities
In Guardians of Ember, you create a hero from four races and six classes. You can improve this character with 300 active and 72 passive skills. This, along with the option to choose a secondary class from level 15, should provide nearly endless character optimization options according to the developers.
Guardians of Ember places you in the world of Olyndale, which is threatened to sink into chaos after long wars. Only the Ember, magical stones, can restore order. You are a member of an order that has sworn to protect the world and therefore sets out to find the Ember. You explore a vast game world where you encounter NPCs who have plenty of quests for you, as well as other players. You can team up with them or challenge them to duels in the PvP arena.
Strongly reminiscent of Diablo
In quieter moments, you focus on expanding and decorating your house or gathering resources to craft powerful items. The game is played from an isometric perspective, making Guardians of Ember strongly reminiscent of the Diablo series. The comparison arises also because you fight wave after wave of monsters and are always on the hunt for better loot. If you want to know how the online RPG plays, you can participate in the Early Access starting December 13.
