In Destiny 2, there are less than two weeks until the Witch Queen, and yet some Guardians fear an Exotic that hasn’t even been released yet in PvP. We will show you which Exo it is.
Which Exo are we talking about? The name of the Exo is still unknown, but it was explained in more detail in the new ViDoc about the Witch Queen. Many Guardians are familiar with the Rifts that Warlocks can use to heal players or provide them with a damage bonus when standing in them.
Bungie has noticed that the empowering Rift is rarely used by the general public. Instead, players prefer to forgo bonus damage and rely more on the healing Rift. This also offers better chances for survival in the endgame.
Now, Bungie has presented the revolution of Rifts in the form of an Exo in the ViDoc. With this Exotic, you can create empowering Rifts and, while standing in them and getting kills, you can also heal automatically. This aspect of the armor piece makes many PvP players tremble.
New effect will turn Warlocks into healing campers
What is it like in Beyond Light? In Destiny 2, the Hunter class dominates PvP above all. With a nimble playstyle and quick and effective dodge rolls, the Hunter has always been convincing. Now, the throne could be occupied by the Warlock.
On reddit, a post was opened showing that PvP players who just want to complete their bounties will have sleepless nights.
These shoes grant you the healing effect “Devouring” when standing in an empowering Rift.
If you use a Warlock with maximum recovery, you can consistently place your Rift and benefit from a damage bonus. Pair this with a weapon like Eriana’s Vow, and you can take down players with one shot from a safe distance.
Could this Exo pose a threat? Comparing the Exo “Mantle of Harmony” in Beyond Light, it could not cause chaos in PvP.
Many Guardians were afraid of Warlocks back then, who could quickly regain their Super through kills. However, the intrinsic perk did not function for a long time in PvP, and thus chaos was spared from the Guardians.
If we assume a new debacle, we should first wait and see if Bungie hasn’t “deactivated” the Exo for the Crucible again.
What do the Guardians say? There is a wild discussion on reddit. Especially the fact that Bungie took a long time to unlock the Exo “Mantle of Harmony” only makes Guardians suspect the worst. One user said:
It’s bold of you to assume they will function in PvP. The Mantle of Harmony did not work for 2 seasons before Bungie activated it.
While I believe they will work in PvP, I imagine Bungie has something that prevents them from ruining the Crucible.

If this Exo causes mayhem in PvP, Bungie may take their time before they nerf or activate it. If the Exo does work, the Crucible will soon get a new look and turn things upside down.
