The new Season 7 in Destiny 2 has again brought new top weapons. All PvE fans should be excited about one weapon: the grenade launcher Wendigo GL3. The quest for this weapon is elaborate, but players have already found a way to shorten the grind.
Which weapon are we talking about? In Season 7, there are again new top weapons. In the Vanguard, there is an absolute top weapon to grab this new Season 7: the legendary grenade launcher Wendigo GL3.
The grenade launcher deals Arc damage and fires flashbangs. Collected Spheres of Light increase the explosion radius and damage.
The Wendigo GL3 is doing so well this season, that it even finds a spot in one of the best PvE loadouts. The grenade launcher is considered the currently best and strongest legendary power weapon.
What do you need to do for the weapon? The weapon is available through a quest line from Zavala. In the inventory of the Vanguard Titan, you can grab the legendary quest “A Gift for the Worthy,” which begins the task.
The quest requires you to achieve grenade launcher multikills and grenade launcher kills in playlist strikes:
- You need to score 15,000 points. You achieve this by killing enemies with a grenade launcher.
- Receive 1,500 grenade launcher kills
- Complete 500 grenade launcher multikills
After that, you can collect the Wendigo GL3 from Zavala. You have earned it.
This task should keep you well occupied this season. However, clever players have found out how to obtain the weapon in just a few hours.
How do Guardians easily get the weapon? Some Guardians are currently easing the grind for the grenade launcher with a “cheese.” This is an “alternative” method to quickly rack up many kills for the Wendigo.
Instead of following the strike, players simply go into the Blind Well, where they encounter many enemies. The Guardians proceed as follows:
- Choose a fireteam of three players
- Start the Vanguard playlist
- Exit and restart the playlist until you receive the strike “The Corrupted”
- Do not follow the strike but go to the Blind Well in the Dreaming City
- Play the Well until you have completed all tasks for the quest. You can find out how to master the heroic challenge of the Well here.
Since the strike “The Corrupted” and the Blind Well are located in the same area, the kills seem to count in this activity as well. Whether Bungie is aware of this or if it was intended is not known.
For this task, the exotic grenade launcher Thunderlord is particularly suitable. This uses primary ammo, which is even generated by the weapon upon kills.
As a Warlock, the Lunafaction Boots are useful. With these boots, the class rifts gain the additional ability to automatically reload allies’ weapons.
