Destiny 2 has left Gambit buried under layers of dust for years. Due to its unpopularity, Guardians often avoid going to the Drifter. A dad knows the solution to his problem to still get loot.
What is the problem in Gambit? Gambit fundamentally lacks innovation. New maps, changes that players can enjoy in every DLC or season, are virtually non-existent. Gambit has therefore been sinking into its own dust for quite some time. Players who have played this PvEvP mode since its initial release can no longer stand it.
Nevertheless, Gambit is a top loot and ornament source that Guardians cannot always ignore. Either you force yourself into the mode or you ignore it. However, a Guardian dad found a cool solution by having not only himself come out as the winner.
Dad lets his children Guardians loose on Gambit
The Guardian APKenna has now found his strategy on reddit for how he still gets his Gambit loot and the associated ornament despite not being inclined. His secret weapons are his two sons.
While dad fails, having no desire or nerves for this mode, he sends his 10- and 12-year-old sons to the Drifter to show him how to properly destroy the blockers. They help their dad, and so the kids also get to sneak a peek into the mystical Destiny universe. A win-win situation, one might say.
What does the community say? They celebrate the family trio and gift the dad with 5,700 upvotes on reddit (as of August 22). Now, no one is surprised anymore why most players in Gambit play as if they were 10-year-old kids.
