GTA 5 Online is already a very immersive game that conveys a very vibrant, albeit wacky, world. Therefore, the gangster epic would be ideal for a VR adaptation, right? That’s what the folks from the YouTube channel Corridor Digital thought as well, who made a really cool video on the subject, featuring Trevor actor Steven Ogg in the lead role!
Anyone who has played Rockstar’s iconic gangster game GTA 5 knows Trevor, the rude psycho thug who perfectly embodies the anarchic element of the GTA series and loves to create chaos and destruction all day long.
GTA 5 in real life?
And that very Trevor takes the lead role in a funny and well-made YouTube fan film by Corridor Digital. The GTA VR movie is basically about the tutorial level in a (fictional) virtual reality version of GTA 5. An unsuspecting player puts on the GTA VR headset full of naive anticipation, only to be shortly after kidnapped into a completely crazy tutorial level by Trevor in his underwear.
In it, things immediately get GTA-style, as there is violence everywhere, completely crazy accidents are the order of the day, and of course, shooting and explosions abound, making it a pleasure to watch. By the way, there is a clear warning for violence and rough language here, as there is plenty of cursing and killing going on.
The actor portraying Trevor, Steven Ogg, is actually the same actor who also voices in-game Trevor. So he knows what he is doing. The filmmakers from Corridor Digital also know what they are doing, as seen in their earlier work Battlefield RUSH. We have embedded the GTA VR video here for you. Enjoy!
